Seneca Housing Named May Business of the Month

The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce and Hampton Inn Seneca Falls are pleased to announce Seneca Housing, Inc. as the Business of the Month for May 2017.
Seneca Housing helps provide housing for low-income, elderly and distressed persons. Their valued assistance has become an essential ingredient to the stability and preservation of many Seneca County neighborhoods for the past 40 years.
“I am honored to receive this award on behalf of an exceptional team,” said Melissa Nesbit, Executive Director of Seneca Housing. “For more than a decade, our office has been designated as a “High Performer” by the New York State office of Homes and Community Renewal. This type of recognition, along with the Chamber’s Business of the Month, serves as a reminder of the important work that we do each day.”
“Seneca Housing is a valuable member of our Chamber organization,” said Mackenzie Green, the Chamber’s Membership Development Manager. “They represent the often-overlooked, but extremely important, non-profit segment of our business community. We applaud their achievements.”
Among Seneca Housing’s new initiatives planned for 2017 is a fundraising event on October 28th, 2017 at Bottomless Brewing in Geneva. Proceeds from the event will help the organization convert vacant space into safe and affordable rental housing to low-income Veterans and their families.
