A French Summer Day – A Lively Run Event
WHAT: Une Escapade à la Campagne – A French summer day at Lively Run Dairy
This is a fun and educational cultural event for all ages. Lively Run will be providing French food and beverages including sweet & savory crêpes made with Lively Run cheese, Charcuterie boards featuring Lively Run cheese and local Finger Lakes meats, wine from Cayuga Ridge Estate Winery, cheesecake made with Lively Run cheese, a French non-alcoholic bubbly apple cider beverage, coffee and tea. Activities will include: French education about language and culture, French trivia, kids games, cheese tastings, and “Meet the Cheese maker” tours.

Schedule of Events:
- French education presentation by Lively Run French Intern at 12:00pm
- French trivia at 1:00pm
- “Meet the Cheese-maker” tours at 11am, 12:30pm, & 2pm
- French food and beverages available all day
- Cheese tastings and goat visitation all day
This event is a great education family event because it gives people an opportunity to experience French culture first-hand. Experiencing other cultures is important for people because they get an understanding of where they belong in the world.
- Admission to the event is free
- Food and beverage are up for purchase
- Tours are $7.50/person and include a cheese tasting
- Cheese tastings without a tour are $3/person
About the Farm:
Lively Run Goat Dairy is one of the longest operating commercial goat dairies in the country, beginning production in New York State in 1982 and pioneering goat cheese in the American marketplace. Their delicious artisan goat and cow cheeses have become a staple in kitchens across the Finger Lakes and beyond.
